Schneider Power Tools – 1-Year Limited Warranty
1. Warranty Provider
Schneider (“the Company”) provides this limited warranty (“Warranty”) to the original end user who purchased an eligible Schneider product (“the Product”) from an authorized Schneider retailer or distributor within the United States or its territories. This Warranty applies only to products legally sold in the U.S. by authorized channels.
2. Warranty Period
This Warranty is valid for one (1) year from the date of retail purchase shown on a valid proof of purchase. If the purchase date cannot be verified, the warranty period will begin from the product’s shipment date. During this period, if the Product fails due to defects in material or workmanship, the Company will repair or replace it at no charge as described below.
3. Coverage
If, within the warranty period, the Product is found by Schneider or an authorized service center to have a defect in materials or workmanship under normal use and maintenance, Schneider will, at its sole option:
Repair the defective parts, or
Replace the Product with a new or equivalent product of equal performance.
Repairs or replacements do not extend or restart the original warranty period.
4. Exclusions
This Warranty does not cover:
a) Normal wear and tear of parts such as brushes, bearings, seals, gears, blades, bits, and other consumables;
b) Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, unauthorized modification or repair, accidents, neglect, improper storage, exposure to liquids, corrosion, or failure to follow operating instructions;
c) Damage caused by the use of non-Schneider accessories or attachments;
d) Products not purchased from an authorized Schneider retailer or distributor;
e) Claims without a valid proof of purchase or documentation establishing the original retail date.
5. Warranty Claim Procedure
To make a warranty claim, the end user must:
Retain the original proof of purchase (including purchase date, retailer name, model number, and serial number);
Contact Schneider Customer Service or an authorized service center as soon as a defect is discovered;
Follow the provided instructions to return the Product to a designated service location or factory repair facility (in some cases, shipping costs may be the user’s responsibility unless otherwise stated);
Cooperate with Schneider or the service center for inspection and verification of the defect;
Retrieve the repaired or replaced Product per service center instructions.
6. Limitation of Liability
This Warranty is the sole and exclusive warranty for Schneider products. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Schneider shall not be liable for any incidental, special, indirect, or consequential damages. Any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are limited to the duration of this Warranty.
This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
7. Non-Transferability
This Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. It becomes void upon resale or transfer of the Product.
8. Governing Law
This Warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which the Product was originally purchased, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. This Warranty does not affect your statutory rights under state law.
9. Product Scope
This Warranty applies to Schneider power tools labeled or marketed as “1-Year Limited Warranty.” Products marked with other warranty terms (e.g., 3-Year, 7-Year, or Lifetime) will follow the period and conditions stated on the product packaging or manual.
10. Changes to Warranty Terms
Schneider reserves the right to modify or discontinue this Warranty at any time. The most recent version will be published on Schneider’s official website or included in the product documentation. Any changes do not affect rights for products purchased prior to such modification.
Supplemental Warranty Terms for Accessories, Batteries, and Chargers
1. Accessories
Schneider accessories, including but not limited to drill bits, blades, sanding pads, grinding wheels, and similar consumable items, are covered only for defects in material or workmanship at the time of purchase.
This coverage does not apply to normal wear, damage caused by misuse, or performance degradation resulting from regular use.
Consumable parts are not subject to the one-year limited warranty provided for power tools.
2. Batteries
Schneider rechargeable batteries are covered by a one-year limited warranty from the date of retail purchase, against defects in materials or workmanship.
This warranty does not cover:
Normal capacity loss resulting from charging and discharging cycles;
Damage caused by misuse, improper charging, exposure to extreme temperatures, impact, or liquid intrusion;
Use with non-Schneider chargers or tools.
At its discretion, Schneider will repair or replace defective batteries with new or equivalent models. Replacement batteries are covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.
3. Chargers
Schneider battery chargers are warranted for one (1) year from the date of retail purchase against defects in materials and workmanship.
This warranty does not apply to:
Damage due to power surges, improper voltage, or use with incompatible batteries;
Physical damage, neglect, or modification;
Use outside normal operating conditions as defined in the instruction manual.
If a defect is confirmed within the warranty period, Schneider will repair or replace the charger at no charge.
4. General Limitations
All accessories, batteries, and chargers are subject to the same claim procedure and limitations of liability described in the main Schneider 1-Year Limited Warranty.
No employee, dealer, or service center is authorized to extend or modify these warranty terms in any way.
